i love that nathan lane was politely masking his inner monologue "How the fuck did Katie Couric get on TV?" with "You must be even more tired than I am." yes, katie, "the producers" is a precious little homage that mel brooks wrote to himself so that he could then turn it into a movie that he could "hold in the palm of his hand" for eternity. JESUS!
