in my study we use all kinds of codes: ".d" means "don't know." ".n" means "didn't ask/didn't do." ".a" means "not applicable." it's a ridiculous and confusing system. here's a conversation with terry:

terry: can i get everything done in 45 min?
terry: idk
robert: .d
robert: er, .n
terry: does that stand for no
robert: .d is don't know
terry: right
terry: .n is no
robert: no, .n is didn't ask/didn't do
robert: no is no
robert: I <3 MY JOB!
terry: i bet
terry: isn't that .<3
robert: haha
